What are the benefits?
PRP therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that takes advantage of the body’s own growth factors to promote healing.
After taking a sample of the patient’s blood, the SVS team runs the sample through a centrifuge to concentrate the blood pl@telets. We then inject these activated pl@telets back into the injured area of the patient. When the pl@telets break down, they release growth factors that help heal injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. This is a very safe and effective procedure because we create the PRP injection from your pet’s own blood, therefore, their body will not reject or react negatively to it.
